Who are these sessions for?
These sessions are curated for parents who want to display their children throughout their home with stunning artwork to hang on their wall. They are created with your child's imagination in mind. Does your child believe in dinosaurs? What about fairies? Perhaps they would just like photographs where they're surrounded by their favourite animals. Here at Taylor Swenson Photography I can make your child's wildest dreams come true through gorgeous composite imagery.
While these sessions are mainly aimed towards boys and girls, teenagers and adults are welcome to have a session if they so choose.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
How do these sessions work?
First, you'll schedule a complimentary over the phone consultation. During your over the phone consultation we will discuss what you love most about your child and what you envision for their photographs. Don't worry if you don't have any ideas of what you'd like your child's session to look like, I have plenty of ideas.
Once you book, you'll get email reminders leading up to your shoot.
This shoot will take place outside so that your child can run and jump around as much as they want to. I am super patient, I enjoy working with children and I know how to run a session based on your child's age. Each session will be custom tailored to your child.
When you come back for your ordering appointment where I will reveal your child's photographs to you on a large tv screen. This is where you will decide what you'd like to purchase and how you'd like to showcase your child's images.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is wardrobe provided?
Before your session we will discuss wardrobe selection. If you would prefer your son or daughter wear a dress like the one pictured above, I will ask you your colour choice and have one custom made in that colour.
How will you get my child to pose?
With your assistance, we will coach your child to do certain things (such as, reach for you, give you an apple, sit down).
Do I get to pick the edits you complete?
There is a form you will fill out where you can select a limited number of edits you'd prefer.
How many photographs will you edit for me to choose from?
I will complete 20 separate works of art that you can choose from.
Are digitals or photo products provided in the sitting fee?
No, digitals and photo products are not provided. However, they are available for purchase after your session.
Do I have to purchase wall art?
These sessions are focused on showcasing your child in an amazing work of art. Therefore, I recommend choosing wall art or a photo album to showcase these photographs but if you choose to purchase digital copies you can do so.
